UTPC 2015 - Innovations in Purchasing
Following their ideas on creating a platform for connecting students and companies in purchasing, the UTPC was founded by Jan Sebastian Steffen and Torben Taros in 2014. The first edition of the UTPC took place in February 2015 under the topic “Innovations in Purchasing”. That year, German premium car manufacturer Audi AG was the main sponsor. The conference was held on the campus of the University of Twente, in the Gallery.
UTPC 2016 - In Quest of Competitive Advantage: The Power of Purchasing
In March 2016, the second edition of the UTPC was held with the theme “In quest of competitive advantage - The power of purchasing” and Europe’s largest owner-managed consultancy firm, Inverto AG, was the main sponsor. This year, too, the venue was the Gallery at the University campus.

UTPC 2017 - Risk Management: Handling the Unknown
The third edition of the UTPC was held in February 2017 and had the topic “Risk Management - Handling the unknown”. The main sponsor of this edition was the world’s leading medical technology company: Stryker. Due to growth of popularity of the conference, it was chosen to move the conference to the Wilminktheater building in the beautiful city centre of Enschede.

UTPC 2018 - Discovering New Opportunities: Supplier Innovation in Purchasing
In March 2018, the fourth edition took place with the topic “Discovering new opportunities – Supplier Innovation in Purchasing”. The main sponsor of that year’s event was Mars, a company well-known for both its food and its pet care products. After a pleasant cooperation with the Wilminktheater, the UTPC2018 took place again in the Wilminktheater.
